On Friday 30th September 2022, as part of our year 5 humanities topic for this term, Mason Bee Class will be taking part in a ‘Kingdom of Benin’ workshop. Pupils will have the chance to learn about the people who populated it and their roles in society. They will examine the achievements of an early civilisation and investigate the gods they worshipped and rituals they performed in a drama-filled workshop. Pupils will also learn about what caused the fall of the Kingdom of Benin and will explore the timeline of the period.
The workshop will take place within school; therefore, children will need to be in school for the normal start time of 8:45am and will be finishing at 3:15pm. All children are to come in their school uniform and a lunch will also need to be ordered as usual.
The cost of this workshop is £12.00 and is available to pay via our Weduc app by Thursday 29th September 2022.
We are looking forward to our creative drama workshop.
