Year 3 Class - Ancient Greece day

Year 3 Class  Ancient Greece day - Thursday 25^th April 2024

Dear Parents / Carers,

On Thursday 25^th April 2024 as part of our year 3 class theme for this term, all of our Leafcutter class will take part in an Ancient Greece day where a workshop will kindly come in and produce and deliver some fantastic activities for the children to enrich the learning in our History unit. They will use drama to learn about the growth of the Greek government; will re-enact ancient battles involving Athens & Sparta; they will also get the opportunity to take part in ancient Olympics and competing against one another in events only seen in the original Olympics.

Children will need to be in school for the normal start time of 8:45am and will be finishing at 3:15pm as normal. Children have the choice to either dress up as a Greek for the day or wear their school uniform. These are the two choices, children are not to come into school in non-school uniform. I’ve placed a picture of an Ancient Greek outfit above.

The cost of this workshop is £18.00 and is available to pay via our Arbor app by Wednesday 24^th April 2024.
