This year for World Book Day on Thursday 7th March, we will be encouraging the children and staff to come dressed for a bedtime story (pj’s, dressing gowns etc)
To celebrate reading we will be running a book café and there will be an opportunity for all of the children to curl up with a good book during the day!
To encourage some of our budding authors, the school council have organised a story writing competition. They have decided that there is no length limit (as some of the children said this put them off) and that the story could be about anything at all (to encourage children to unleash their imaginations! ) It can be typed or handwritten, but must be easy to read for the judges!
There will of course be book prizes for the winners!
The closing date for entries will be Monday 4th March 2024 at 9AM
Last year our community and parent mystery readers were a huge hit! If you can spare half an hour at 1:15pm on Thursday 7th March to read to a group of children-please let the office know and we’ll be in touch! Just don’t tell the kids
