Year 4 Trip to Bosworth

Dear Parents / Carers, 

We have an exciting opportunity to enrich our history unit with a trip to Bosworth Battlefield, on Thursday 4th June 2026, within school time. 

During our time at Bosworth battlefield, the children will explore life in early Roman Britain as Boudica rebels against the might of Rome! They will meet the rebellious British noblewoman Boudica and find out about life as a Roman soldier, then discover the secrets of the Bosworth Roman Temple in an Archaeology Detectives session. 

The children will need to come to school in their uniform and bring a packed lunch, which we will eat whilst we are there.  We will be leaving school at 9:15 am and returning to school for the normal pick-up time. This trip will cost £20 per pupil which is available to pay in the trips section of your Arbor app by Monday 18th May 2025.  

Bosworth Battlefield activities - £234.00 

Coach Hire - £280.00 

Insurance, payments & other charges - £25.00 

In agreement with the governing board, we have made the decision to run trips in a different way this school year. We will still be offering the same trips but will not be advertising our day trips to the children and instead will send letters directly to parents via Arbor. 

Trips will not be booked until all payments have been made and will not go ahead if all payments have not been received. Day trips will continue to be free for children on our Pupil Premium Register.
